592Wave

Frequency

Seven steady tones, free to anyone and needing no account: the ones people call healing frequencies, 528 Hz being the one they say tunes you back to yourself. They aren't songs and no artist uploaded them — your own device makes the sound as you listen, so nothing downloads and nothing is stored. Put one on while you work, rest or wind down.

Where the descriptions come from. What each tone is said to be “for” comes from solfeggio tradition — centuries of practice, not scientific research. People find these tones calming and that is reason enough to have them here. 592 Wave doesn't claim they treat, cure or change anything in the body, and nothing here replaces a doctor.

Keep the volume comfortable. If you have tinnitus or your ears start to ache, stop.

396Hz

Letting go

The first of the solfeggio tones, traditionally linked with releasing fear and guilt. People put it on to settle themselves at the end of a long day.

417Hz

Change

Associated in solfeggio practice with undoing what feels stuck and making room for something different.

432Hz

Verdi tuning

Not a solfeggio tone — a tuning standard. A touch below the usual 440 Hz, and plenty of musicians say it sits warmer in the ear. Some Guyanese artists tune to it on purpose.

528Hz

The love frequency

The best known of the set, and the one most people come looking for. In solfeggio writing it's associated with repair and renewal.

639Hz

Connection

Linked with relationships — understanding people, and being understood by them.

741Hz

Clearing

Associated with expression: clearing the throat and saying the thing that needs saying.

852Hz

Intuition

The highest of the traditional six, associated with quieting the noise and thinking straight again.
